{Hannah}: 22 weeks

I just posted about Ethan this week, so I don't have a lot to say today, but we did have a really fun day in Tomball with some friends! So thankful that we have some close friends nearby, that we get to see them more often, and that they love our kid so much!

I mean, come on. 😍

We had an especially hard time getting picture I liked... So I picked a few fun ones:

And we are checking off another week with Hannah, who is the size of a large ear of corn (this just so happens to be Ethan's favorite food!).

How far along? 22 weeks - 18 to go!
Maternity clothes? Yes!
Stretch marks? Not yet
Sleep: Great sleep last night, and Ethan slept until 7 today!!
Miss anything? Being able to take cold medicine for a cold.
Movement: Love being able to feel her move. She is really low in there, must be cozy!
Food cravings: Queso. I want all the queso.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I have lots of congestion in my sinus cavity. It's not been a good week - had to miss the first women's bible study of the summer because I felt so sick!
Gender: Little girl!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time? Very emotional lately, sad that Austin won't have any time off with us this summer because he has to save his PTO for Hannah's arrival.
Looking forward to: Galveston with my family (parents, brothers, sister-in-law) in under a month!! And also not being an emotional pregnant lady in +/- 4 months.
Prayers this week: my prayer for Hannah-girl lately has been more aimed at me: for discipline. I have been asking The Lord to help me to recognize and then work in me to release bad habits/traits that I don't want to pass on to Hannah (or Ethan)!

{Ethan} 21 months!

I think it's a very sweet coincidence that I'm 21 weeks pregnant with Hannah and Ethan is 21 months old! Hannah will be here in about four months, and Ethan will be TWO in three months! Though he babbles out what he thinks are words most of the time, his vocabulary is growing by the week! In the last two weeks he started saying water (wahdada, actually represents all liquids. For instance, I know he can say 'juice', he just doesn't), ow, walk (which means 'take me to the park'). He's learned new animal noises (moo, meow) but he thinks all fruits are apples ;)

His improved coordination means he runs, skips a little, and can use the big kid park that's closer to our house! The play equipment is rated ages 3-10, but don't tell this ambitious little boy that.

He gets flushed easily when we play in the heat so it's a great reminder that he needs lots of liquids out there! We are also enjoying a lot of time in our backyard and our neighborhood pool! I love that we have an area to meet other parents of littles: the baby pool! I never take electronics to the pool so we have no photos of that fun yet.

Since I was a lifeguard, a swimmer, and a swim instructor, we are gradually teaching Ethan to swim, starting with floating on his back and blowing bubbles. He has zero fear of the water, so we work on it a little bit every time we go to the pool, which has been about twice a week. We need to teach him the word 'run' so he understands NOT to run at the pool! ;)

I just looked through my phone, and there are so many amazing pictures from the last month! Apologies for gushing, but when you think your kid is the cutest in the world, how can you not take constant pictures?!

We did have a little cold two weeks ago, but mama's never went away (and might now be a sinus infection) so we are off to the doctor tomorrow! It will be the first time I've been to a PCP in five years - the last time I got sick enough to see a doctor, I needed my appendix out. I just can't keep functioning with this constant sinus pressure! Pregnancy and a toddler can really lower your immune ability - I have a feeling I'm only getting a glimpse into what sicknesses are to come with two little kiddos... :)

{Hannah} 21 weeks

IWhoops! Forgot to share the pictures from Monday's ultrasound! I had an iced chai beforehand so she was a bit of a wiggle worm! ;)

That's really the only interesting image we got - I can't believe how much more in love we are after seeing this! We really can't wait to meet our little girl.

Hannah now weighs one pound and is the size of a baby bok choy!

How far along? 21 weeks - 19 to go!
Maternity clothes? Yes!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Actually had a great night last night! Half the battle is telling myself I can sleep all night!
Miss anything? Nothing I can think of this week...
Movement: Yes!
Food cravings: Mexican! Good thing we just had some fajitas :)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Gender: Little girl!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? ON! Beautifully repaired, diamond replaced - happy mama!
Happy or Moody most of the time? Both. Trying to choose happy and not make my husband my enemy.
Looking forward to: Time with good friends tonight & celebrating Father's Day tomorrow with Austin!

{Hannah} 20 weeks!

We are halfway done!!! I would celebrate a little more excitedly, but Ethan gave me his cold so I'm not exactly a ball of fun today. We are going out to celebrate our anniversary tonight and Ethan's snotty self is going to GiGi's! The last time we tried to leave him with GiGi, it was Austin's birthday, Ethan was sick, and he puked when we got there. We spent the night at the ER in fear of dehydration, so, as long as he doesn't puke, we should be fine.... ;)

Austin just felt Hannah move for the first time! Probably a kick or a punch. She was moving around a lot while I was typing this so I pulled Austin over and he got to feel her move! So cool.

We're starting to actually look pregnant! Whoo hoo! Hannah is the size of an endive: 10" from head to toe, and about 10.5 ounces. We will have accurate measurements in two days after our ultrasound!!

How far along? 20 weeks!!!!!
Maternity clothes? Yes! I looove all my maternity clothes!
Stretch marks? None, I've been putting on Shea butter stretch mark cream almost daily to try to prevent it, like I did in my last pregnancy.
Sleep: I miss sleeping soundly. I wish there was a ZQuil for pregnant women!
Miss anything? Not having a cold
Movement: yes! Even Austin felt it!
Food cravings: those endives look pretty good...
Anything making you queasy or sick? Ethan. Ethan has made me sick.
Gender: little girl! With the cutest nursery ever! Can't wait to post pictures when Grandma finishes the bedding. She's going on vacation soon so it'll be a while!
Labor Signs: No!
Belly Button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? Off - still at jeweler :(
Happy or Moody most of the time? Both. Usually crankier at night when I'm tired!
Looking forward to: date night tonight!! And an ultrasound on Monday!

Movement: more and more!! Still waiting for Austin to feel it.

{house 2} Home Tour

This is super brief, but I spent all of naptime tidying up for these pictures. Sometimes it's just hard to get the ball rolling and clean up after a weekend trip.

Ethan's room pictures will be added later as he was asleep during all of these so I couldn't get in there! He has a huge room with a sink area between his room and the shared bath (hollywood style).

Welcome!

half bath off entryway

Our very gated stairs

Formal living with view of gameroom
(up) and dining

Dining room: table to come

Kitchen & breakfast nook
with table I refinished

Master bed

Master bath

Upstairs game room

Shared upstairs bath (another vanity is in
Ethan's room)

Upstairs hallway: large closet, bath,
Ethan's room, Hannah's room, and
an office around the corner on the left.

Sneak peak of Hannah's room

My new vinyl print! I love it.
